To avoid problems receiving our emails with a Gmail account we recommend adding the following addresses under a new contact:

bravenetnews@list2.bravenet.com 
generalmail@bravenet.com 
noreply@bravenet.com 
 
To create a new contact:

1. Log into your Gmail account.

2. Click the "Contacts" link underneath the Gmail drop-down. 

3. Click the 'NEW CONTACT' button in the top-left corner of the Contact Manager. 

4. Type in "Bravenet" into the name field.

5. Enter in an email address in the email field.

6. Click the "Add email" link at the bottom to add another address.

7. Repeat steps 5-6 until all addresses are added.

8. Click the 'Add to My Contacts' (if not already auto-saved). 

 
That should do it! If these addresses don't appear immediately, try waiting a few minutes or signing out of your Gmail account and logging back in.

Getting Started with Bravesites

Here you'll find everything you need to get started creating your Bravesite. To begin, you'll need to choose your theme!

All available Themes can be viewed here. Simply click on the Theme you would like to use. [http://wiki.bravesites.com/w/Choosing_a_New_Theme Choosing a New Theme] later is quick and easy, so don't worry about making a permanent choice here.

Before we can continue, we need an address for our new site.

To continue on building, you can choose the first option - a domain can always be registered later. If you want to get started with a domain right away, choose the second option. This requires that you purchase a paid plan. Using a custom domain with your Bravesites website is only available with our paid Starter and Premium packages and not the trial.

Once you complete this process, you should be given a link to begin editing your site using the site builder!

Can I add a Log Out button to my protected pages?

Yes, you can do that with the codes provided in the Logout Settings area of your service manager. 
 
1. Log into your Bravenet account 
2. Click on the Web Apps tab 
3. Click on "Password Protect" in your list of Web Tools 
4. Click on "General Settings" 
5. Click on the 'Redirect' tab 
6. Under Logout Redirect URL, set the URL to which your visitors will be redirected to on logout. 
7. Under Logout Buttons, copy the code you prefer. The first code is a button, and the second code is a link. 
8. Add the coding to your protected page, and then upload/publish the revised file.

The Bravenet account manager is our custom tool for managing all aspects of your account - everything from changing your password, to creating a new website, to managing your domains can be accomplished from the account manager.

To access the account manager, you need to log in to your Bravenet account. If you do not have an account, it's [[Sign up for a Bravenet account | easy to get one!]]

How do I edit or remove subscribers?

1. Login to your Bravenet account 
2. Click on the "web apps" tab 
3. Click on "mailing list" 
4. Click on the link "Manage Contacts" 
5. Click on the button "Manage Active" 
6. To edit a subscriber, locate them using the hyperlinked alphabet in the Existing Subscribers section and then change the information in the boxes provided. 
 
To delete a subscriber, check the checkbox beside the corresponding subscriber. 
 
When you're done, scroll down and click on the "Save Changes" button.
