Windows Live Mail

Windows Live Mail is a free mail client developed by Microsoft

Configuring Windows Live Mail for your Bravenet Account

  1. Start Windows Live Mail
  2. Click Accounts then Email
  3. Click File, New, then the Existing Mail Accounts option
  4. Fill out the following fields:
    Address Settings
    1. Email Address - Enter your Bravenet e-mail address
    2. Password - Enter the password for the Bravenet e-mail address
    3. Display Name - Enter your name here
    4. Check Manually configure server settings
  5. Click Next
  6. Fill out the following fields:
    Server Settings
    1. Set Server type to IMAP, or POP3
    2. Change the Incoming Server address to mail.bravehost.com
    3. Check Requires a secure connection (SSL)
    4. In the Login user name field, replace the contents with your full Bravenet e-mail address
    5. Change the Outgoing Server Hostname to mail.bravehost.com
    6. Check Requires a secure connection (SSL)
    7. Change the Outgoing Port to 587
    8. check Requires authentication
  7. Click the next button and your account should now work correctly

You can test your incoming and outgoing mail settings by sending yourself an email.
